History of the building
These are terraced burgher houses located in the historic center of the city of Cheb and listed in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. Their current appearance reflects a Baroque reconstruction dating back to the 18th century. In 1962, the buildings underwent structural changes as part of the redevelopment of Cheb’s historic center. During this period, several inappropriate interventions were made that negatively affected the architectural integrity of these protected monuments.
Our contribution
During our ownership, all buildings have undergone extensive renovation works, ranging from roof repairs, window replacements, and facade restoration to comprehensive interior upgrades. These included the construction of new attic apartments, modernization of main utility networks, and partial refurbishment of existing residential units. Due to their historical significance and preserved character, these houses represent a valuable component of Cheb’s urban architecture and an important element of its cultural heritage. We are proud to have contributed to restoring their appearance closer to their original Baroque form.
